Since 2010, our team has succeeded in understanding the needs of the industry and offering reliable services to utility professionals.
Line Design Technology (LDT) was founded by Bill Jones back in 2010. Bill has worked for Manweb for 25 years before forming his first company, Line Design Solutions, in 1997, which he sold to Freedom Group of Companies. Bill retired from the company in 2014.
Peter Jones, the son of Bill Jones, joined LDT in 2011. He, too, worked for Line Design Solutions and moved across to Freedom Group in 2008. He now serves as the managing director of LDT in partnership with his wife, Sadie.

Peter Jones
Managing Director
Peter leads the day-to-day running of the business. He worked alongside Bill for many years, developing skills and expertise in the industry. He is a qualified remote pilot and holds a distinction in the use of AutoCAD.
Sadie Jones
Finance Director
Sadie manages the company budget and oversees ISO certifications to ensure excellence across operations—keeping quality management aligned with how we deliver work in the field and office.
Ellice Jones
Surveyor
Ellice is an overhead line surveyor and setting out specialist, recognised for precision and attention to detail. She is passionate about using drone technology to enhance surveying and data collection.
Jodie Matthews
Surveyor’s assistant
Jodie supports field and design teams on electricity infrastructure projects. She holds a CSCS card and is developing a strong interest in computer-aided design—always looking for ways to combine technology with surveying.
