Line Design Technology (LDT) was founded by Bill Jones back in 2010. Bill has worked for Manweb for 25 years before forming his first company, Line Design Solutions, in 1997, which he sold to Freedom Group of Companies. Bill retired from the company in 2014.
Peter Jones, the son of Bill Jones, joined LDT in 2011. He, too, worked for Line Design Solutions and moved across to Freedom Group in 2008. He now serves as the managing director of LDT in partnership with his wife, Sadie.
LDT is a family business focused on delivering the best possible customer experience.
Managing Director
Peter is the main man at LDT, caring for the business’s day-to-day running. He worked alongside Bill for many years, developing his skills and expertise in the industry. He is a qualified remote pilot and has a distinction in the use of AutoCAD.
FInance DIrector
Sadie is the finance director at LDT. She manages the company’s budget, preventing Peter from overspending on the latest technology—a challenging task. Beyond her financial responsibilities, Sadie also serves as the Quality Manager, overseeing the company’s ISO certifications to ensure excellence in every aspect of our operations.
Surveyor
Ellice is an Overhead Line Surveyor and Setting Out Specialist recognised for her precision and attention to detail. Her technical expertise is crucial for the accurate and efficient completion of projects. Additionally, she is passionate about using drone technology to enhance surveying and data collection.
Surveyors Assistant
Jodie is a Surveyor’s Assistant who helps our field and design teams with electricity infrastructure projects. She has a CSCS card and is developing a strong interest in computer-aided design. Jodie is always looking for new ways to combine technology with surveying.
